Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and cost accounting. As Accounting Specialist, you will work closely with our accounting team to analyze and report on product and production costs. You will be responsible for reconciling accounts, and assist in the preparation of financial statements. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cost accounting and learn about the inner workings of a manufacturing organization.

Job Description

• - Responsible for general accounting and month-end close activities as it relates to
• manufacturing, inventory and cost of sales, including purchase price, material usage and work
• order variances, gross margin, freight and labor & overhead, and warranty ?
• - Assist Operations in implementing, maintaining and monitoring proper inventory controls and
• cycle count procedures/auditing
• - Prepare monthly management reports as it relates to cost of sales, production analyses, and
• inventory and variance analyses
• - Document controls, processes and procedures related to manufacturing finance and cost
• accounting
• - Uphold corporate policies in the manufacturing and cost accounting areas
• - Prepare Journal entries
• - Prepare Expense Report for Fixed Assets entries (includes Capitalization of interest)
• - Monthly Capitalization, run depreciation
• - Make copies for important contracts and fixed asset related expenditures.
• - Clear SAP Account Receivable. Sales reconciliation
• - Annual property tax filing
• - Prepare AR Aging, Fixed Assets, Deposit, Prepaid and other Assets account
• - Assist with and ensure successful year-end accounting audits
• - Assists CFO and Accounting Manager in special projects and process/system improvements

Qualifications

• - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or related field
• - Bilingual in Korean or multi-lingual associate is preferred
• - 1-2 years’ experience in an applicable field is preferred, but not required
• - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• - SAP
• - Skills in database management and record keeping
• - Excellent organizational skills
• - Ability to work with all levels of employees
