Job Summary

Accounting Manager is responsible for overall activities and administration of the accounting department and reviews the accounting department’s activities and company’s financial operations in general and prepares reports to management team. Accounting Manager is the main point of contact for quarterly and annual external audit. Accounting Manager is also responsible for quarterly and annual tax filing and tax payment.

Job Description

  • - Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial reports and annual audits and annual budgets.
  • - Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, and payroll processing.
  • - Review cost accounting packages for all the different PUs, monthly trial balance for each site, and monthly financial reporting.
  • - Work as a primary contact point for quarterly and annual audit with external auditors
  • - Work as a primary contact point for quarterly and annual tax return filing with external tax professionals
  • - Work as a primary contact point for various tax issues, including IRS, state tax agencies, etc.
  • - Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • - Prepare and disseminate BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) report to Hyosung Corp’s Finance Center.
  • - Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his financial needs
  • - Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • - Various financial and accounting ad hoc request from other departments or other affiliates
  • - Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Education/Knowledge:
  • - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • - Master’s Degree Preferred
  • - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
  • Experience (preferred):
  • - 5-10 years progressively responsible experience
  • - Progressively responsible experience for a major company or division
  • - Experience managing and leading a company’s accounting department staff
  • Skills (required and preferred):
  • - Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • - Knowledge and ability to use a personal computer, MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficiency in Excel is required.
  • - Ability to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and with varying levels of experience.
  • - Ability to work in fast paced, team environment and ability to work independently.
  • - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • - Knowledge of accounting and performance management including financial reporting, analytical methods and product costing.
  • Physical Demands/Work Environment: Vision, hearing, and speech are required. Manual dexterity is necessary. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled.
  • - This position will be performed predominantly in an office setting
  • - This position may occasionally be required to travel
  • - This position may cause sitting for long periods of time
