Job Summary

Our Client is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant Manager to join our accounting and finance team. The Accounting Assistant Manager will apply accounting principles to prepare financial reports, compile financial statement, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance. The Accounting Assistant Manager will also maintain and execute a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, support tax returns, general ledger entries, budgeting, forecasting, Consolidation Package and bank reconciliations.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • - Reconciliation/Consolidation
  • - Responsible for monthly general ledger close on a timely basis.
  • - Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, posting within the general ledger.
  • - Maintain fixed asset/depreciation schedules
  • - Prepare/adjusting journal entries for properties and consolidation
  • - Perform in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, preparing account balance reconciliations, and financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • - Perform with the development and preparation of monthly, quarterly, year-end internal reporting package.
  • - Track progress of the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • - Prepare and consolidate accounting information reported including preparation of consolidated balance sheet and income statement analytics.
  • - Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  • - Assist with compilation of information for preparation of audits and tax returns, including preparation of sales/use tax returns
  • - Coordinating the preparation of provisions for income taxes for companies under other states statutory reporting rules
  • - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • - Perform special projects and other functions as necessary

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience: A minimum of 6+ years’ experience as a senior-level accounting
  • Skills/Competencies:
  • - Proven working experience as an Accounting Assistant Manager
  • - Experience with creating financial statements
  • - Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • - The ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion and meet commitments, proactively, seeking guidance as necessary.
  • - Appreciate the value of working in a team with the ability to collaborate with peers and colleagues across the company.
  • - Ability to proactively identify challenges and actively work to find solutions.
  • - Strong organizational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • - High energy level with a hands-on approach combined with the ability to provide leadership and structure in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Workday knowledge is a plus.
  • - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • - Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
